We are currently looking for the following positions:

 

Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities Include:

    • Clear understanding of OO programming concepts
    • Experience with user interface design for software applications
    • Design and development of electronics for robotics and tracking systems
    • Verification and validation testing for safety and reliability
    • Support and contribute to intellectual property development
    • Work with cross-functional team including software and mechanical engineers as well as clinicians and marketing staff

Qualifications:

    • BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
    • Strong understanding of real-time robotics design and components, including motors and encoders, with an emphasis on reliability and safety.
    • Experience with communications protocols like CAN, BiSS, and SSI
    • Experience with documenting and testing electro-mechanical systems
    • Team player with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Additional desirable skills and experience include:

    • 4 to 8 years C++ programming experience
    • Experience writing device drivers and working with embedded systems
    • PCB layout design
    • Experience with medical devices, including testing for IEC 60601 and EMC
    • Familiarity with FDA regulations
    • Start-up experience

 

Application Software Engineer

You will be part of the core development team creating medical visualizations and application GUIs. Your graphics knowledge and expertise will be used to display complex medical devices and information, improve our CT visualization tools, and much more. You will interact with hardware, electronics, and mechanical design engineers as well as regulatory professionals in a start-up environment. 

Qualifications:

    • BS in Computer Science or equivalent
    • Clear understanding of OO programming concepts
    • Experience with user interface design for software applications
    • Familiarity with computer graphics, linear algebra, and core image visualization concepts
    • Experience with documenting and testing large software applications
    • Comfortable with use of SVN, Git or similar repository based code sharing system
    • Openness to exploring and integrating third-party software development kits and libraries
    • Team player with excellent communication skills

Additional desirable skills and experience include:

    • 4 to 8 years C++ programming experience
    • Experience with VTK/ITK or other visualization libraries
    • Familiar with CT scan images and DICOM protocol standards
    • Experience with medical device software
    • Project/team lead experience
    • Start-up experience

 

Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities include:

    • Mechanical design of robot components for manufacturing
    • Integrating sensors, motors, and encoders into a fully functional robotic system
    • Verification and validation testing
    • Support and contribute to intellectual property development
    • Work with cross-functional team including software and electrical engineers as well as clinicians and marketing staff

Qualifications:

    • BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
    • Experience with Solidworks part and assembly modeling
    • Strong understanding of currently available robotic components, including motors and encoders
    • Proficient with design for manufacturing and materials choices
    • Experience with documenting and testing electro-mechanical systems
    • Team player with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Additional desirable skills and experience include:

    • Experience with medical devices
    • Familiarity with FDA regulations

QA / RA Engineering Lead

We are just beginning to build up the QA / RA team, so this posting is variable depending on the applicant’s level of experience and skill set. You will be a core part of the quality and regulatory team that ensures Neocis develops a high quality product within the guidelines of the FDA’s regulations for medical device development. You will have the opportunity to work with several engineering disciplines from mechanical engineers to application software developers. You will oversee the design of verification and validation protocols and reports and participate in risk analysis. Additionally, you will participate in several aspects of regulatory compliance including preparing submissions and meeting with the FDA.

We seek a candidate with the following skills and experience:

    • BS in Biomedical Engineering or equivalent
    • Experience with quality assurance in a small start-up environment
    • Experience with FDA medical device regulations including 510k submissions and 21 CFR 820
    • Ability to understand and convey complex technical information
    • Experience with documenting and testing large technical systems
    • Team player with excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail

Additional desirable skills and experience include:

    • Background and work experience as an engineer in developing a medical device
    • First-hand experience with medical device software and / or manufacturing
    • Experience with international standards like CE marks and ISO 9000
    • Project/team lead experience
